Trauma
Kelly started a cause-marketing agency with former client Kristine Elezaj. Kelly was inspired by the #TumblrLove she received when her parents were both diagnosed with cancer, placing her in the difficult role of sole family caregiver.
Kelly was overwhelmed with treatments, as her best friend (a doctor at a Chicagoland hospital) urged Kelly to be cognizant of caregiver fatigue. Kelly took the time to learn about the risks that first-responders of trauma, disasters, and illness faced, and worked with a team to brainstorm new ways to heal.
The agency distributes preventative education and health screening information, equips cancer and terminal illness patients with holistic art projects, provides business support for endeavors related to patient diagnoses (as an adjunct to traditional medical-based care), and helps heal trauma and caregiver fatigue in first-responders of a variety of traumas, disasters, and illnesses, including military veterans, doctors, nurses, veterinarians, lawyers, police officers, and firefighters, by using holistic-based approaches.
